Trump has had Jerome Powell indicted as revenge for not using inflation to destroy the middle class quite fast enough, and as a warning to Powell's replacement.

Donald Trump and Stephen Miller threatening U.S. ally Denmark not only violates the UN Charter, it directly serves our/NATO's enemies. It is therefore treason. They must be brought to justice. Any member of Congress who protects them is complicit in treason and must equally be brought to justice.

For a brief time, the U.S. President and Congress preferred to make an example of vicious dictators rather than set an example for them.

To belabor the obvious, seizing a Venezuelan oil tanker violates international law.

If the entire University of Oklahoma faculty does not go on strike in solidarity with Mel Curth and force the despicable university administration to its knees, then that faculty does not deserve its academic freedom.

The State Bar of Virginia, in rejecting any ethics investigation into the conduct of Lindsey Halligan, makes a compelling case against lawyer self-regulation.

In case anyone was wondering whether the techno-oligarchs who direct the programming of AI will use it to insulate their power and immunize themselves from the consequences of their crimes, Grok's recent antics regarding Musk answer your question. Hilariously pathetic? Yes. Dangerous? Also yes.

News for Trump: Disobeying illegal orders is not sedition, it's required by law (specifically, the UCMJ). And death is a possible penalty for sedition only for persons in the military, not civilians, including senators or congressional representatives.

The problem with Larry Summers isn't his association with Jeffrey Epstein, it's his association with Larry Summers. It hardly needs repeating that university faculty have a duty to put the interests of students before their own. The minute you start scheming to manipulate a student, you've failed.

Three words for Mike Johnson, Pam Bondi and Kash Patel: obstruction of justice.

The Trump Administration's murders of individuals on boats in international waters violates international law generally, and international human rights law specifically, regardless of whether they are drug traffickers. That part is irrelevant. Using the military for this purpose is a war crime.

Hey, Lauren Boebert. "It's only a Halloween costume" is perfectly compatible with "it's despicably racist."

It's all hands on deck. I am shamelessly asking, one more time, for reposts and signal boost as this bird glides toward a landing in a few hours. It's gonna be a beautiful book, and there aren't going to be very many available afterwards!

Right-wing Sinclair Broadcasting owns all these local media stations and many others all across America. This is not journalism, it is scripted propaganda.

The Washington Post fired Karen Attiah for accurately reporting the bigoted things Charlie Kirk has said about ... people like Karen Attiah. So glad I unsubscribed from WaPo when Bezos decided to interfere with editorial decisionmaking.

The same Supreme Court majority that held it unconstitutional for universities to consider race as a relevant factor in admissions now holds that ICE can consider race a relevant factor in detentions. If any of these justices had been students in my courses, they would have failed out of law school.

One of the most disappointing of all human motivations is the drive to feel self-esteem based on something--race, sex, looks, inherited wealth or privilege--that in reality reflects no personal merit.
