Chat GPT and other LLM's are generally give you good idea on what to write by showing you something that's not quite right.
Now begins the annual struggle to write the current year instead of the previous year. It will take around 12 months to correct the muscle memory.

Sometimes I still start with "19". So all should be aware that I could erroniously write 1925 instead of ̶2̶0̶2̶5̶ ... err I mean ... 2026! (dammit!).

Imagine NZ is the target of a US takeover right now. We should all be asking, "If it were us, then how would we want other countries to react?"

Alone, we're a small bit of bone, but if the free democracies in the world stood together, imagine what that grown spine could do.

Remember when men were supposed to be gentlemen?

Gentle men. That sounds fantastically woke to me. We need to go towards gentlemen not away from it.

If the 49ers defense gets a stop I think this game would be a little less stressful.

I've never seen a TD like that. Crazy good Purdy! He'd be a nightmare in a game of tag.

Kind of me not to make it all about me. Aren't I so wonderful and modest. I mean people should admire me more for being so humble — and wonderful 😜
"Do to others as you would have them do to you."

Sounds nice, but I think we can do better.

How about...

"Do to others as they would prefer to be done to them."

Then it's not all about you. 😁

I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.

A debate between Ruth Richardson and Nicola Willis on economic policies?

Why would we want to waste anyone's time watching these two failures?

It would be better to spend time learning something from people who have the interest of the entire country at heart.

Mother of all debates: Nicola Willis wants finance faceoff with new nemesis Ruth Richardson
There’s fighting talk from Nicola Willis, who wants to face off against one of the country’s most polarising finance ministers who Willis claims is behind a Taxpayers’ Union campaign to discredit her.

We often act without fully understanding a situation. We have to, or we else couldn’t function. We rely on inference and a kind of practical faith. The danger is mistaking our successes for proof that we’re wise or infallible.

Ahem!

That $66 Billion was rather well spent it seems.

Thank you Jacinda Ardern, Grant Roberston, and Dr Ashley Bloomfield.

Worldwide mortality experience since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2024) shows excess deaths over that period in almost every country measured. Australia (+6%) was below average, and New Zealand (+0.1%) the lowest we measured.

So maybe regional councils are not perfect, but nobody wants to see a rushed fix-up job.

Especially when it's just a bad political distraction from the terrible job you've been doing as a Government.

Why are right-wing parties and their supporters always so bad at understanding this?

The Nvidia forecast shouldn't calm AI bubble nerves. It shows that AI companies are spending a LOT of money on hardware. The AI companies aren't yet showing revenue paths that justify their valuations.
