Tufts said it was told the student's visa status had been terminated, and the university is now working to confirm that information.

The thing is, I couldn’t imagine sitting near a black elder taking action as Rep. Green did and just… watching as he was removed from the chamber. I wouldn’t be able to sleep that night; I wouldn’t be able to talk to my ancestors after just… watching.

This is too familiar. A year and a half ago my wife needed a hip replacement. It wasn’t a choice. It was a medical necessity. Through our jobs and my WGA membership we have three “great” insurance policies. The day before the surgery a clerk said her primary insurance wasn’t going to cover it.
Apropos of nothing, thru my spouse‘s job we have “ good” insurance. 5yrs ago, I had knee replacement &they made me jump thru 1 million hoops ofc (& we were out of pocket $$$$ too). 1 month later, they sent me a 5-figure bill for the full amount. They *retroactively* unapproved it & demanded I pay up

My mom was a flight attendant. She was part of the second generation of black flight attendants. White coworkers would cut up her uniforms in the hotel and refuse to eat with her!
When she gave birth to me in 1985, she had to stand on a scale and pass a weight test before she was allowed to work.
