I love this website, particularly now when Earth's tilt is so dramatically visualized.

The Mollweide projection is one way of looking at the spherical earth as a flat map. The entire globe is flattened so all land is visible, and the placement of where the sun hits is shown by light versus darkness. Useful for political maps, it shows the true area of land masses, choosing instead to distort their shape. Two views of earth.
