Well you'd be glum as well if you were in a room with a guy known for launching his opponents out of windows and he chose to leave a window open in the room in a cold October in Moscow.

Whoever he defines as "antifa". The vagueness is the point.

Very welcome news this morning from the Middle East. There’s still a long way to go but we all hope for these first steps immediately - a ceasefire, substantial aid and support getting in, hostages freed, and the death and destruction stopping.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social what an asbolute titan of a journalist Noga Tarnopolsky is, we've been subjected to two years of egregious blowhards across broadcast media giving their fact free, mostly bilious "expertise" often for clicks and clout, Noga stands out like a sore thumb in her professonalism

Ceasefire in Gaza, and hostages released by next Monday.

If this happens I will cheer it from the rafters!

The chap on the left once defended marriage between siblings in a live interview on GB News.

By all accounts it was too much even for GB News viewers.

The photography in this article really feels like The Times are deliberately setting these people up for ridicule. (You can read it without visiting The Times here archive.ph/KZZC1)

So you have 2 guys dressed like they've gone with what came out when they asked Chat GPT to spit out an image of a paedophile, and a MEGA fascist from central casting.

Ha!

For what it's worth I hope there is peace in Gaza, the return of the hostages and the end of Hamas as a militant force in the region. But Trump doesn't get credit for treating people's lives like magnets on an NFL coach's playboard so he can win Norway's Superbowl!
abitpolitical.bsky.social
For the sake of the many people who have never been committed to peace for the sake of money and a trophy at the end of it and commit to peace in the name of goodness I hope this is true. If Trump wins the Nobel Peace Prize that prize will instantly become worthless.

Nobel Peace Prize news flash!

Trump still not getting it.

About halfway through, on the left as the camera pans around.

We joke about Russian window safety, but there it is as plain as day. It's a weapon of fear used by the Kremlin to keep the powerful in line.

You might hate your job. But at least you're not a russian general invited to a meal & drinks with Putin next to an open window.

So stay strong, stay civil and win the public over by showing them who the bad guys are. If you can do that you'll win your country back. 11/End
abitpolitical.bsky.social
If the regime loses the ability to placate the public with propaganda and lies they will lose the ability to continue the division, because they will become the enemy of the people, and that is how they will lose the ability to rule over them, from the inside. 10/11
abitpolitical.bsky.social
To stop this you have to speak out, and go to the streets, but I would argue you have to be civil. MLK Jr preached non-violent resistance and I feel that is the way to defeat the regime. Don't fight them, make them fight you. If you show the public who the bad guys are you will win them over. 9/11

The next stage after invoking the Insurrection Act is going to be the arrest of anyone who opposes him. Governors, mayors, local law enforcement have all been labelled "leftist terrorists" by the regime and they will come for them as a way of scaring anyone else less powerful from speaking out. 8/11
abitpolitical.bsky.social
Ironically one of the first GOPers to get this and act on this is Marjorie Taylor Greene, hence her new found independent mindset, but the fact stands that Trump doesn't plan on needing Congress, he plans on running the country himself. 7/11
abitpolitical.bsky.social
And then you have the idea of "plenary authority". This is the endgame for the regime in the short term. They want to rule America by decree and they don't care about upsetting GOP congressmen and women because they don't plan on having elections that might cost them their jobs. 6/11
abitpolitical.bsky.social
And they are creating more chaos and division. These instances I mentioned at the top of the thread are supposed to get worse. They want violence on the streets so they can justify attacking Americans in American cities with American soldiers and ruling with an iron fist and blaming "the left". 5/11
abitpolitical.bsky.social
The Regime is determined to continue this and they know they have the world's most powerful armed forces at their disposal, but they can't just launch into a police state so they've manipulated the shutdown of the government so they can sideline Congress with the help of the Speaker. 4/11
abitpolitical.bsky.social
Trump has run on division ever since he came down that golden escalator 10 years ago, he campaigns and runs the country by pitting people against each other and against him - for attention. And he uses the power of the Presidency to protect him from the consequences. 3/11
abitpolitical.bsky.social
And lastly you have Miller's "plenary authority" gaffe on CNN.

I Really believe that Trump is laying the foundations for invoking the Insurrection Act, and this is why I think that. 2/

There are documented instances of confrontations between local law enforcement and ICE, a viral comment from the head of the Oregon National Guard suggesting that he would send his men to protect Oregonians from ICE, and JP Pritzker saying "come and get me" when threatened with arrest. 1/11

Schiff: "You begin to wonder -- do they believe they have the authority by putting some groups on a list, even domestic groups, to use lethal force against them, with no trial, no due process, no nothing? The reality is we can't rule that out."
abitpolitical.bsky.social
It also shows the regime how they can manage a fascist America and keep a functioning entertainment industry, just hold a gun in one hand, and a bag of money in the other. If you can do this to Bill Burr in Riyadh you can do it to him in South Bend. 2/2
abitpolitical.bsky.social
Some of these are good comedians, at least two of them have also deliberately made a lot of noise about free speech and cancel culture so it's at least a bit weird that they've shown themselves to be hypocrites who will censor themselves for a massive payday. 1/2

I always was. I've worked through many of the things that were predicted, and watched both Labour and the Tories honour a result to such an extent that it is to the detriment of our prosperity and security.

The person who has gained the most out of Brexit, is Vladimir Putin.

Lord Heseltine, "The number of people aged below 50 who think it was right for us to leave the European Union, is less than 20%

"The latest polls tells us 56% now believe it was mistake to leave the European Union"

Hands up if you are one of the 56% 🙋‍♂️
