It is easier to break things than to build them.

Former USAID official here.

The current Administration has done zero impact analysis to estimate the effects of its obliteration of USAID on deaths around the world.

It just keeps saying "no one has died" as a mesmeric incantation.

The facts, below. 🧵

I guess this obligates you to rank the solo Joan version. I like this video where she's reading her children's book telling the song as her story, and her partner John Doe is standing by in support. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNgi...

This was a very effective tactic against the Proud Boys in Portland also. Wanted a fight. Got a mocking carnival.

Streets are still closed off in front of the Portland ICE facility at 8:30pm. Protesters have gathered on a side street. Dance party in progress.

Six years later when they were smoking pot down in the ravine a 800lb pig came crashing out of the underbrush and chased them up into their house. 2/2

Attention university presidents and boards of trustees:

"Those who oppose authoritarianism have to play a different game, creating solidarity among an unwieldy coalition, which knows that if everyone holds together, they will surely succeed."

How much truth is there to the rumor that most scallops are cookie-cuttered shark/ray flesh? That might explain it.

We've been doin' this longer
Than you've been alive
Propelled by some mysterious drive
And they still let me do it
As weird as it seems
And I do it most nights
And then again in my dreams

Memo to nonprofit folks, when you loudly proclaim your project is "evidence-based" it makes me more skeptical about it, not less.

Someone here in California described it as the Orange County of the Middle East and that’s very spot on.

I know a lot of the ebike discourse is important and we need to get facts out there. But much of it also seems so beside the point. I saw one of these on my ride this weekend. You can get one with 900+ HP. No one is talking about implementing a Class 1, 2, and 3 designation for cars.
