“Millions of dead children” will be in the first line of Marco Rubio's obituary.

Nice that the only State Department comment here is that “the U.S. 'continues to stand with the people of Burma.'” Myanmar hasn't been called Burma since 1989, but since Trump is forever stuck in 1983, that checks.

@himself.bsky.social talking sense, as usual. Notably: “The administration would have played its cards differently if it had a stronger hand.”

plus if you have a short commute, work from home, or take public transport most days maybe don't even bother with any fancy charging stuff - plugging the car into a regular outlet over a night or two will give more range than you need

It’s also important to flood social media with this jury nullification toolkit so that potential jurors (You?) read it before they become actual jurors.

we charge our hyundai ioniq 5 around once every two to three weeks at a muncipal charger and i’d say it runs about $9 for 250 miles of range.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

When US citizen Leo Garcia Venegas tried to prove his identity by showing federal agents his REAL ID, they dismissed it as a fake and kept him detained, releasing him only after they bothered to run his Social Security number.

Just a few weeks later, they detained him again:
Mass Deportation Is A Threat To Us All
Aided by the Supreme Court and the insidious "Kavanaugh stop," the administration's chaotic mass deportation operations are sweeping up Americans – including children and U.S. military veterans.

How will SCOTUS justify none of this applying to the next president? Easily: it never justified why it applied to Trump. No written opinions, no precedent to contradict.

It's an even cleaner perversion of the law for its special boy than "our consideration is limited to the present circumstances."

Kagan, joined by Sotomayor and Jackson, has a sharp dissent. She says this "result conflicts with the separation of powers." www.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

Six federal circuits—the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th—all agree that the First Amendment protects the right to record police performing their duties in public.

Taught my students last week that they have a First Amendment right to record in Pennsylvania. So do folks in Chicago and Portland.

Yes, Jabotinsky and revisionist Zionists SAID they were colonizers and that Israel was a colonial enterprise, but obviously they didn't MEAN it, says the Jerusalem Post
In Jabotinsky’s lexicon, the term “colonization” meant the return of Jews to their homeland as a people, not at all foreign to the land. They would be engaged in agriculture, industry, and other enterprises that would create the foundations of a state. As for “native,” Jabotinsky simply meant the Arabs who have resided in the area of the former Judea since their conquest of the Jewish homeland in 638 CE.

To think he saw those individuals, who weren’t even mentioned in the League of Nations Mandate decision, as being somehow more “native” than the Jews is a devilishly ridiculous proposition.
