I never used Twitter much and this style of social media is foreign to me. Promise I'm not a bot, just weird and autistic.
When will people finally delete that fucking app
X basically industrialized the creation of fake porn of women who don't consent. Others did it first, but Grok made it normalized and centralized: publicly visible, instantly creatable by anyone, regardless of who's being targeted and dehumanized. Only question now is will X suffer any consequences

When you don't vote the Democrats into power, they don't have power. This "both sides" bullshit only helps Republicans win. Which, I have to assume, is why you do it.
It's easy to dislike Trump, but trust me, I don't think the anger toward Congress and both parties is enough.

The Wyoming Supreme Court just ruled to protect abortion rights! They struck down the state's two abortion bans (yes, two).

I'm so thrilled for the people of Wyoming, but also for all of us—because the decision could actually help abortion rights everywhere.

It's honestly disgusting that the DSA isn't a scarlet letter on anyone's political resume. Being in support of ending USAID should be a disqualifying position for a Democrat.

I had an old post on Twitter about this. The US spends about 18% of its GDP on the social safety net and 3.5% on military. Germany spends about 24-25% of its GDP on the social safety net and 2% on the military.

Our military spending is not why they can have nice things or why we don't.
just grievances all the way down

For years, there's been this widespread view among low-info Americans that other countries' social systems are propped up by American money, and this seems to be just a slightly more sophisticated version of that.

But also, this is where belief in manifest destiny leads, sooner or later.

Does anyone else remember "cease and desist skeet" or is it just me who finds that incredibly funny

The end goal of Grok sexual harassment is to make women afraid to be visible. It’s a punishment for daring to exist in a way the perpetrators can’t control. There’s no one solution to this, because the problem isn’t just technological. It’s cultural. It’s misogyny. This is just one expression of it.

The problem with this MTG discourse is...I don't even know what it would look like for a woman who rose to political significance on harassment, gun violence and plotting an insurrection- while normalizing these- to redeem herself.

I don't know that its possible.

A maternity ward doctor donated his own blood during surgery to keep a pregnant patient alive.

One woman gained fewer than 10 pounds over her entire pregnancy.

Another collapsed and had seizures during labor.

no, that was pre Twitter migration, we don’t call them skeets now. style guide says they’re called ejaculating into a spoon. so for example you don’t say “did you see that guy’s skeet” you say “did you see where that guy ejaculated into a spoon on Bluesky”

Had a dream that Taco Bell released a cheesy nacho challah loaf. Happy belated Hanukkah from my subconscious, I guess.

Expectant mothers were left so hungry after the U.S. cut foreign food aid that one woman ate clay and charcoal.

Her baby struggled to gain weight after being born prematurely.

Merry Christmas specifically to all the other children estranged from their shitty abusive parents. We survived. We get to make our own joy now. Celebrate it loudly. I love you 🩷
