This kid will face employment discrimination for life, among god knows what permanent medical conditions from this. Lost eyesight.

It is gruesome. And they need every hit of support the worker got for flipping Trump off.

Let’s rally for this person.

not supporting abolishing ICE is tacit support for things like this, just fyi
One of the stories that makes me the saddest out of this ICE invasion is one out of the Minnesota Star Tribune today about ICE agents eating at a little Mexican restaurant in the small town of Willmar, Minn, —and then, when they were done, arresting some of the workers.

By day and night he wrongs me, every hour
He flashes into one gross crime or other
That sets us all at odds. I’ll not endure it.
His knights grow riotous, and himself upbraids us
On every trifle.

Watch Virginia tomorrow. A lot of this will go through. Big day ahead.
Virginia's legislative session only started yesterday, and it was a very big day.

The House already passed four constitutional amendments on Day 1:
—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

Next: Senate.

It’s not fair that he has to live with this now. This should have been the fate of that shitbag.

Someone in this dude’s life is going to repeat some stupid, propagandist talking point about protesters, and he’s going to shock the shit out them when he puts them on the spot and tells them to shut the fuck up. It’s going to be clear that won’t fly in his presence. It helps prevent normalization

I sincerely will never forget the first time I saw “clash between police and protesters,” after watching law abiding people, who’d followed every direction given, attacked with tear gas and violence. Then watched fry cooks and student teachers called “paid agitators.”

It's also WAY harder to accept the "both sides are the same" rhetoric, when you realize how small the number of "leftist" spaces are that will accept any talk of violence, and then witness just how publicly the right gets to fantasize about it. Left spaces shut it shit down, bcuz its a fed magnet.

When you realize how un-radical the overwhelming majority of people who engage in protest are... How boringly fucking normal they are... it becomes incredibly hard to swallow the idea that protest and dissent are somehow "agitating," and not just people who need access to better conditions.

It’s very easy to sit and home and have an intellectual understanding the US does not have a stellar history with authority’s reaction to protest.

It is something completely different to see with your own eyes how twisted and off base all the narratives around protest are.

Judge found the dept has repeatedly violated a 2021 preliminary injunction restricting LAPD's use of 40mm, with no sign of change. He found them in contempt of that order. The city must now pay lawyers fees for a case that's been going on since 2020.
