Manually thinning apple trees which I did at an orchard one summer. There is a particular grip and thumb movement to remove the apple and leave the stem on the tree. Also knowing which apples to remove and which to leave. And how many to remove, something our two bosses had differing opinions on.

When I was a security guard 40+ years ago, a number of posts had manual elevators. I got very good at getting the elevator to line up perfectly with the floor at which I wanted to exist.

Chūshingura is a very well-known incident from the Edo period in Japan, and in later generations it has been adapted into many plays and films. I am also interested in this story, and I have created fountain pens using it as a motif, which are being sold by Sailor.
