Charging anything is a bad decision in my book, but charging as much as they are is insane.
$40 USD for both events is a big ask. That's 5 months of Netflix. Do they really think getting to watch Capcom Cup a week early is the same value proposition as FIVE MONTHS of Netflix?

I assume there is no regional pricing? a little sad-funny if last years main story was the breakout success of a young south american player and this year they are asking everyone to pay more than 20 usd to watch. seems a bit thoughtless to me, but I guess thats why I dont make the big bucks!

Capcom is asking a young, stereotypically-broke, and highly tech-savvy group to pay $40 to watch something they had been able to get for free for years.

I've attended evo in many capacities, but I'm walking away from this year so so many strong and complex emotions. I'm happy to have been here, the trials and tribulations will hopefully be worthwhile in the long run. Thanks for an incredible Evo, and here's hoping for more
