Got the #Criterion release of #Anora! This quickly became one of their most controversial releases, in particular with the cover art. But I love a reference to Vampyros Lesbos! And I love that the booklet is stylized as a porn mag!

With Mayhem, Lady Gaga has really pulled out all the stops from her inspirations to make a really strong and confident album. It's got Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, disco-era Moroder, 80s power ballads, and 2000s electronic pop, all blended up into each song to varying levels.

Finally getting to watch the 2024 remake of #streettrash! Missed out on seeing it last fall as a midnight movie, but at least now we have this beautiful physical edition from @vinsyn.bsky.social to enjoy! Big fan of the original, so I have high hopes!

It's wild that I somehow missed there was a Nintendo Direct and on top of it they announced Thousand Year Door remake which is something I've been hoping we'd get for a while since I was poor and didn't get a GameCube so I've never gotten to play it.

It's wild to me that 1) they are rebooting The Strangers and 2) that they are planning to do a trilogy even though the last set only managed two (and imho only the second one was an enjoyable watch).

A wild part about being pansexual that no one really tells you about is how many times you're going to genuinely tell someone how beautiful and sexy they are only to learn you're the first one to say that to them and you're just so confused because they're perfect and you just want to hold them.

Tonight's entertainment is seeing Duran Duran with Bastille and Nile Rodgers & Chic! I've seen Nile and Duran Duran before and they always throw a good show. Bastille I have never seen and I'm excited to experience it!

My dad was a huge Jimmy Buffet fan, had been for as long as I can remember, before I was born most likely. I'm kinda glad for my dad that he passed away before Jimmy did. He liked him so much that I think it would have hit him really hard.

Really good thread about why it's stupid to require trainers to meet exacting body types for the job. I mean, I do circus training for fitness and some of the coaches have a higher body fat percentage and can do and train you in some of the most intense movements you've ever seen. It's all BS.

1. They've never met a potential client who was turned off by too-perfect trainers, assuming such trainers know nothing about coping with health setbacks, busy schedules, chronic conditions, etc.
2. They know such clients exist and scorn working with them.
