So the wind is really bad in Gaza it’s destroying tents and knocking over buildings. If you are looking to help someone today is a good day to do it ❤️

There are two demonstrations today starting at 3 pm in Federal Plaza in Chicago. It's too cold out for my troubled spine, but my heart is with everyone who protests. The people of Venezuela should determine their own future, and make no mistake: this is about robbing us of our freedoms as well.

There is a very important issue I want to raise to all supporters of the Palestinian cause and the campaigns for the people of Gaza
Many families have already received support and continue to get donations and attention while their links are shared over and over again

Disruptive action that cuts straight into their wallets is the only language these corporate war mongers understand. PYM have become true leaders in the resistance!

Exactly this platform is showing its true colors choosing to protect JK Rowling while silencing Palestinians this is disgusting and unjust we cannot stay quiet we must stand with Palestinians and expose Bluesky’s biased policies we must unite and raise our voices louder than ever
So this platform finds it more important to protect JK Rowling than Palestinians.

This is beyond absurd.

So Palestinians are silenced Jessie Gender is banned but Jesse Singal is welcomed this platform is not great it is corrupted by biased moderators who silence the oppressed while giving space to those who harm we will not stay silent against this hypocrisy
So no Palestinians, no Jessie Gender, but yes to Jesse Singal

STOP SAYING HOW GREAT THIS PLATFORM IS
it appears that @bsky.app have suspended the account of @jessiegender because a trans person saying "I wish ill on JK Rowling" is against the rules, so let me say with my loud cis voice that I too wish ill on all perpetrators of hate speech against trans people

reinstate Jessie, this is ridiculous

was really hoping that recent story hitting mainstream press would force some kind of response, but even that looks naive in hindsight

wild that this is both a great & painful read and absolutely a mantra of what to expect in the near future as well

We will not be erased Our voices matter Bluesky cannot silence Gaza Every deleted account fuels our anger We will rise together ✊ Speak out Share my voice and spread our cause No more censorship Stand with us Together we are stronger 💥
@mommunism.bsky.social
Everyone from Gaza losing their accounts after Bluesky got mad about people asking to stop the deletion of Palestinian accounts and hiding those posts is just top class petulant baby moderation

i understand and it’s frustrating how many talk about the law without really knowing it the legal system shouldn’t be so hard to navigate and everyone should have access to clear legal knowledge so people can truly know their rights and how things actually work
August 13, 2025 at 4:47 PM
wow that’s wild yeah people really just say whatever comes to mind these days like there’s no filter at all and they don’t even stop to think how it sounds

A clerk told me today in arraignment court when I checked in "You can't be a lawyer, you're too exotic looking. You're obviously an interpreter."

And then the clerk handed me the interpreter registration pass.

We really are just saying whatever inside thoughts pop into our heads now, huh?

Israel is intentionally and systematically ethnically cleansing the Palestinian people, which is against international law. U.S. citizens need to immediately and vehemently hold their politicians accountable to stop arming Israel. International peacekeeping troops into Gaza now!!!

Anas may have passed away but he lives on in the heart of every person who understands humanity He was the first voice to reach the world revealing the true reality of the famine in Gaza He carried a truth many tried to silence His courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten Rest in peace Anas🙏🏼

That’s exactly the problem so many people are trapped in the system because of faulty science and unreliable evidence It’s inspiring to see defenders fighting back and exposing these injustices Until the system values real facts over convenient shortcuts, innocent people will keep paying the price
Oh I lied again.

There are thousands of people stuck in cages whose convictions are based on pseudoscience like bite mark matching and "fire science," and a really heroic Chicago public defender got ballistics evidence thrown out because the method used by the cops was objectively unreliable.

I totally get where you’re coming from If those who made the rules had to face the same treatment, maybe they’d think twice before allowing torture It’s only fair to hold everyone accountable
Back during the Iraq War when Congress voted that, yeah, torture really is ok as long as you call your victim a terrorist, I thought it would be appropriate if every member of Congress who voted Yes was waterboarded.

Still seems like a good idea tbh.
One last thing on this Discourse:

If you are so eager to condemn people to years in the torture gulags we call prisons in this country, go spend a night in one yourself.

You're not better than anyone there. You're just luckier.

Absolutely if lawmakers and citizens had to experience the conditions they justify for others policies would change fast empathy comes from understanding the suffering you are willing to cause and most of the difference between them and you is not morals just luck
