This was lovely, and it'd be great to hear more like it. I thoroughly enjoy the podcast in general, but this small, personal chronicling and sort of walking through the things that matter, and the things that help ground, well it's just rarely seen in any podcast, let alone ones by trans folks.

Related: whenever I've seen a cis queer person discuss their time in the closet I've never heard anyone interrupt and insist they need to own up to their "straight conditioning."
I've never seen anyone accuse a cis man of 'male socialization'

I think we need the latter every six weeks at a minimum.
NYE is my least favorite holiday
❌ Staying up past bed time
❌ Loud noises
❌ Lots of alcohol and little food
❌ Crowds

0/10
Give me more holidays where we eat a large dinner at 3pm, have a little booze as a treat, and then all take naps

Trump apparently wants the US to own Greenland and between that and the Canada thing it really seems like he has a weird expansionist agenda and that is probably bad

I have always been uncomfortable when people look too hard for a scientific basis for trans people
It always seems like a question to ask before they look for a "cure"

But what is there was a spiritual and metaphorical reason and the gods made you that way
It can't be fixed or cured, it just is
Over the past couple years I have been working on this giant collaborative art project/spiritual exploration to a trans mythology/religion

This is what clicks with me. We wouldn't have so many stories of creation and transformation if those things weren't meant to be cherished, and if they hadn't already been since we started asking questions about the world around us. Self-actualization - to me - is a sacred act.

The danger of Prosperity
Gospel Christianity isn't that it is hypocritical
It's that it tells people that if they profit from something they have God's favor

It disguises exploitation as exhaltation and encourages people to view the impoverished as suffering because they sin by being poor

As I handmade a new loom hook from an old yarn needle, a paint brush, and some hockey tape, I joked to my wife that once it was done I would find my loom hook

I then found my loom hook
