I am truly disappointed in the way our own government in the US blatantly ignores the needs of the people time and again just to try and ban an app that has helped connect people all over the world. The point of elected officials is to be the Will of the people and represent them.

Today is the election day in my town of Bernie, here in the great state of Missouri. I urge everyone to watch a local election as much as you would any election. For they impact your lives on the daily first.

I do wonder what really makes so many people in our Government forget or not understand basic human needs as a human right. Money or not, people need have rights.

People call the cops on preteens because they believe they’re in “e-bike gangs.” They call the cops on teens walking home from school. Digital is in fact an inadequate patch we’ve applied because teens can’t go anywhere safely.
The hill I will die on is that this is not a digital problem. We don't send younger kids out to play by themselves anymore for fear of kidnapping/CPS, and those kids become teens who don't do it either. There's also a loss of third spaces for teens. Even the freaking malls require chaperones.

The constant attack on Tik Tok from our supposed Representatives shows just how little they represent the people, and only their interest. This is an attack on the 1st Right as Americans. I urge all to call your Representatives, remind them they work for us. Hold them accountable for their actions.

I am currently running against a person in their late 70's in my town. While I'm sure they love this town, and hold wisdom in the field, even in smaller bodies like these it's time for a younger generation to take the wheel.

Remember to pay attention to your local electronics/politics just as much as your State and Federal. Those can effect you more in your daily life. Be respectful but don't turn w blind eye to incompetence and curroption.
