We don’t need to reform ICE.
We don’t need alternatives to ICE.
We don’t need to engage in dishonest debates wondering what the U.S. would do without ICE.

ICE isn’t even 23 years old. Most adults know a world without ICE. And the billions used to fund ICE can be used to meet people’s basic needs.

Happy Friday of Election Week! We expect to post around 100,000 ballots in today’s results update. That will leave around 120,000 ballots left to count, so we’ll have a large number to post on Monday, too.

Just a few short hours to fund the government, and House Republicans aren't even in town—they're on vacation.

Republicans don't care.

Republicans and Trump are shutting down the government rather than working with Democrats to fix the health care crisis THEY created.

Can we get some focus on the perfidy of Speaker Mike Johnson?

So much of Trump’s excesses are made possible because Johnson has disabled the House as a check on the President. He has handed Trump his gavel symbolically and in reality.

We need to focus on Trump’s enablers.
Grijalva: I was looking at the example of now-Representative Walkinshaw from Virginia, who was elected two weeks ago Tuesday. The following Wednesday—less than 24 hours later—he was sworn in, with unofficial results.

So for me, apparently the rules have now changed in just two weeks.

Almost inevitably, a white liberal pundit who finds a way to “hear out” or “find commonalities” with white supremacists eventually starts saying depraved shit. I need to understand why that’s not the last strike for white people that it is for Black political observers.

look I’m no messaging expert but it seems like the American people might be interested to know that Donald Trump just gave our social security numbers to a teen called BigBalls
Contrary to some info I've seen, 19-yr-old Doge staffer "BigBalls" Edward Coristine did not delete his X account, it's just renamed and is private.

Wired reported that govt tech workers had to defend their work to the Neuralink intern in an Office Space-esque scene.
