This is something about "AI" that I have a hard time putting into words, but creators just love the WORK. It's just fun. Even when it's hard. All the thinking, and all the detail work, and all the struggle, it makes the things we make, I don't know... have weight and value for us.
If the writer’s eyes light up when asked, “why did the character do that?” then it’s real.

I think the fundamental gap here is that non-creative people think that creative people make things for the end product, when in fact it’s the act of creation and not the end point that makes it worthwhile.
I have grown to believe that excessive wealth does something to your brain that is analogous to a serious head injury

just cuz it came up again recently - PSA we don't have a TikTok and anyone claiming to be us on TikTok is lying. The takedown system for impersonators is one of those "send your legal name and mailing address to the person you're about to piss off" situations so it's a bit of a perennial issue -R
