A thing that bugs me is how often comments like this circulate about men of color.
With these comments (preserved at the end of Ify's thread) it's just going "hey there is a familiar narritve of bad behavior from men and maybe it applies here."
What is making you bring that up?

I think I can understand this line of thinking to get here but you’d have to do a couple of things to get here:
-Underestimate a seasoned comic’s read of body language.
-Take away the agency from a literal dominatrix.
-Think that the team that makes the shows would miss the uncomfortable cues.
