The president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, said all 24 of the girls kidnapped last week had been rescued
All 24 schoolgirls held by assailants after a mass abduction last week from a school in north-western Nigeria have been rescued, the country’s president announced on Tuesday.
A total of 25 girls were abducted on 17 November from the Government Girls Comprehensive secondary school in Kebbi state’s Maga town, but one of them was able to escape the same day, the school’s principal said. yes I don't really see how you can go "oh yikes these people have changed their political views incredibly quickly, mostly because of what Very Online people talk about on social media" and also think that people who went from never talking about gender to calling trans women predators are....normal
I don’t like subtweeting people I consider online friends, but there is a subset of people who are very worried about the ongoing radicalisation of our political elite but won’t ever acknowledge the echoes with the radicalisation of their colleagues on trans rights
And few who are sympathetic to us, some who are friendly with me on here, will ever stick their head above the parapet

It is genuinely insane to see a judge describe Graham Linehan as a “generally credible witness” in a trial where he claimed Sophia Brooks has been engaged in “trans activism” since 2013 (when she would’ve been 6 years old), then, when challenged, claimed her drivers license lied about her age.

Britain is raising a generation of transwomen that are built of sterner stuff, as this judge knows. We should be proud -- and dare I say scared ? -- at the effect media bullying is having in raising a generation of unharassable superwomen.
No, the courts apply the law, which says that offensive language must reach a certain level to be considered harassment. For example, the language could cause alarm or distress.

The bond markets did *not* get it wrong in the 2010s. As Martin Wolf put it then, they wanted us to borrow and spend. *Osborne* got it wrong.
So my baseline assumption is they are right now.

I guess the problem is that the bond markets are not infallible and often get things wrong, so its not just a case of getting the economics right, but also communicating that to the bond markets in a way they can understand. Unfortunately, it *does* matter what they think
