School districts in meatpacking towns in Iowa were running ICE drills back in like 2005 because there were raids that left hundreds of kids stranded after school with no parents. It's always been horrific
The first thing ICE did when it was created was raiding meat processing plants in the Midwest and south to help quell labor disputes over safety violations and keep those who weren't detained from getting legal protections as many had kids who grew up locally and were citizens with political power.

I cannot adequately express my horror at this latest ICE death notice. The regime wants to soften what happened and frame it as death by "natural" causes. But if you read through it you'll see that the US failed to treat this man's severe condition, so he suffered for months before he died.
