if your fear is being *perceived* as a man while also refusing to denounce the oppression of women then you can call yourself whatever you want, but you are not subverting masculinity and manhood, and you will never be kenough.

ironically, i feel like a lot of tmascs fear the 'man' label but are also defensive abt where they belong within womanhood, since men have often hurt us in the past. so they refuse to 'be men' but want to retain a lot of the patriarchal standings that men have. this isnt a refusal imo
