Just a reminder that New Yorkers paid $206 million last year ($267M in 2023, etc…) to settle lawsuits against the NYPD, mostly for things like police brutality, on top of the NYPD’s $11 billion/year budget, which is more than most nation’s military budgets.

Fascism is a politics of domination. The ultimate form of domination is adults over children, because it can be as close to totalizing as any amount of control one person can have over another. Fascists dominate, traumatize, and abuse children and tell them when they become adults they can do it too
remember that these people oppose trans healthcare for children because giving children agency over their bodies makes it harder for them to get away with preying on them and they see themselves entitled to sexually abusing children

And you know what the talking heads seem to rarely use 'violent' to describe? The systemic destruction of families through ICE detentions and deportations. Breaking a window is framed *primarily* as violence, but taking a grandparent away from their kids or sending someone to a work camp isn't.

ironically, i feel like a lot of tmascs fear the 'man' label but are also defensive abt where they belong within womanhood, since men have often hurt us in the past. so they refuse to 'be men' but want to retain a lot of the patriarchal standings that men have. this isnt a refusal imo
