There are ways to stop the slide. Te ao Māori is the obvious one. There are more too, to add to the mix, wich would be great (with te ao Māori obviously having pre-eminence.)

It takes real effort and allyship and _change_ to do so. In joy and anger and community.

Our waterways are fucked and it's going to get worse; we're backsliding (and groundwaters can take decades to flow through)...our water's poisonous now.

Decades of Keep Rates Low means our infrastructure is fucked too.

We need to stop feeding the lie that NZ is a good or nice place. 87% of our indigenous birds are threatened. Our DV, suicide, loneliness, poverty, health, housing, economy, employment etc statistics are punching above our weight (we do like that horrible term). BADLY.

Wondering if I should indeed rename the new dog. The name he has is very close to the name he had (apparently: he's a rescue, big-time) and I wonder whether it has bad associations. Might explain why he ignores it a lot (there are other reasons too, like he's entire, which I'm sorting soon).

The only true crime is (human) people not engaging their minds and souls and hearts to be compassionate and stop killing everything, incl our planet and fellow life-forms (however one wants to put that: I'm atheist, and see wonder and its antithesis every moment).

It's very easy to see when someone with power is incompetent. They write it all over their behaviours, faces, voices and gestures.

It's never a surprise. Please stop electing them, making them CEs and Board chairs, etc.
