My first review of 2026!
Our information infrastructure pretends neutrality when in reality it runs on amplifying bias.
Nothing threatens our civilization more than these opaque, unchecked, monopolysed public opinion machines.
I always wondered why everyone uses a similar YouTube thumbnail with a grabby headline and a side-by-side. I just learned that the YouTube algorithm is friendly to them, and they get better placement so your message can reach a larger audience. youtu.be/i4XyiYKgjvY?...

(1/X) The most popular thing leaders in either parties could do is throw an oligarch in jail. Srsly, would you blame someone for voting for Trump because Trump threw Zuck in the clink?

And they all belong there, not just morally (they deserve far worse than a few years in jail morally), but...

Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

Americans have always supported our National Guard. In emergencies. They do good work. A president who misuses them, however, can ruin those good relations, particularly if they are used as a Brownshirt force for a partisan with autocratic beliefs. Best to require an invitation from the governor.

You literally cannot turn on a news show without hearing another story proving how reprehensible this regime is. They held a meeting of small farmers, but a black farmer from Virginia was denied an invite because “they don’t wanna deal with DEI.”

Sixteen years ago today, Oscar Grant III was riding a BART train home in Oakland, California with friends when transit police pulled him and several other passengers from the car. One officer pulled Oscar to the ground and shot him in the back. He died in the hospital hours later. 🧵

“Can’t believe NYC elected a Muslim as mayor.”

In truth—a Black American Christian woman swearing in a Ugandan American Muslim of South Asian ethnicity as his Syrian American wife holds the Qurans he swears in on, all while standing on the steps of a subway station—is the most NYC thing imaginable.
