We have HUGE back-ups on the Circ headed for the Mackay Bridge, HFX BOUND.

The circ is backed up past the Big Mall in Dartmouth...

Pretty sure it's because of the collision on Barrington - because traffic is slow coming off the MacKay, headed for Barrington #HFXTraffic

I'm liking that I've heard *no* backlash about her being a "woke" diversity hire and how dare they besmirch the memory of The Professor.

This could be major Culture War bait, especially considering how many folks discovered Ayn Rand via Rush's early stuff.

But then again, it's obvious she's good.

So the credits needle drop on the full-on "Alien" tribute episode of #alienearth is "Cherub Rock" - I have the vaguest sense that I might possibly maybe be being pandered to just slightly.

Watching the already famous episode 5 of Alien Earth, basically a clever remix of the original Alien movie. Lots to appreciate, especially the production design - but I especially like that they came up with a reason for those random chains hanging from distant ceilings from the original movie

They've been talking up agents and MCP for ages now and the dirty secret is hallucinations mean you can't "fire and forget" AI as it'll be amazing 80% of the time but that other 20% will wreck everything. Also, massive security vulnerabilities with prompt injection. They're still gonna try though!

Catching up on Alien Earth and they just confused a Clarke quote for Asimov. Don't know if that's just a mistake or they're going to run with it as a plot point like the Byron/Shelley mistake in Alien Covenant. No spoilers kthxbye
