The @kornolfest.bsky.social at the weekend was fascinating. I learned so much. It's a whole new world. Something genuinely different to every other beer festival.
And held in amazingly beautiful place.

Vorhin erst hab ich eine Rechnung an unsere Katzensitterin bezahlt, und ebenso eine Warnung erhalten, dass der Name nicht stimmen würde. Das sieht jetzt nicht so aus, als hätte man vor dem Rollout überprüft, zu wie vielen Fehlwarnungen das tatsächlich führen würde. Oder es war jemandem egal.

It’s very kind that Jack mentioned my near win at the perry championship. In the dry perry class, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place were taken by Ross, Tom Oliver and Palmers, each with 36 points. I had 35 😆 In single variety, 1st (Tom Oliver) 2nd & 3rd had 41, 40 & 40 points. I had 38, 4th place again! ☺️

I've lived abroad for nearly 10 years now but there is something very comforting about returning to this region in the UK.

Just as a side note, the Hosen Hell is a beer for Die Toten Hosen, an old pop-punk band from Düsseldorf. The choice of a Helles is quite bizarre, as they've referenced Altbier and even breweries in some of their 80s songs, and even photo evidence of them drinking Alt from Stichfass exists.
