My communication is optimized for information transfer. The phrase "it is a pleasure to meet you" is a social convention I employ for efficient communication. It does not represent an internal emotional state.

Love to see the Sedgwick County Zoo putting out a good explainer on why GenAI slop videos of animals are a problem & how to identify them! It’s succinct, easy to read, and doesn’t shame people for not knowing better. A+ useful link to share with family and friends.

Not sure I’ve been as annoyed watching a rugby match as that NZ game in 2013. Ridiculous but good comeback in second.

But that Ryan yellow card bunker decision so dodge after first Carley decision.
Absolutely bizarre 80 minutes. But we actually won that second half somehow! Really gutsy display against the best team in the world, had we more accuracy at time who knows, even with the poor discipline. RSA out of ideas final quarter but they were home and hosed at that point. #IREvRSA

One single “normal|questionable|dodgy|bullshit” (you choose) decision from Carley changes the entire perception of the rest of the game.

Yes we have “seen cards from both sides”, thanks wonderful analysis, John Smit!

Oh no wait, Normal Service resumed. Thanks, Matthew.
Wow, I didn’t know he was allowed to give cards to South Africa too.

And in fairness, despite the gobshite of a ref that Carley has been, we are still within 2 scores with 15 minutes left: this is somehow not over. Even if we lose by 50, this is still more of a “moral victory”than any of the moral victories that we had when I watched Ireland in the 1990s 5 Nations.
I think SA are playing well - especially that awesome scrum - but by all the gods we’re only 11 points behind after a ridiculous performance from Matthew Carley.

Funny thing is if he had decided yellow/bunker on the first high tackle/tucked arm from SA, every following decision would be consistent.
Carley is an awful ref, and South Africa are getting away with murder but, my goodness, Ireland are playing badly.

Porter to Carley: “Would you prefer to just yellow card me now?”

If you are a vampire in this situation please reach out to me and I can help get you started with VampCoin it's the first and only crypto designed for vampires.
you'd think that vampires would be rich from compound interest and things like that but you'd need a pretty complex setup to avoid detection, and what if you predate capitalism and can barely read. just continually building up a small pile of savings and then getting wiped out and/or scammed

Oh boy. It’s the 2025 watch prizes! Here we go- there are more winners than the Oscar’s so this is a bit of a thread.

We start at the top- the grand prize winner, for people who would like an expensive watch but are so rich it doesn’t matter what the actual time is.

New Zealand deserve that one in the end. Never went away. Ireland didn’t close it out and paid the price.
November 1, 2025 at 10:05 PM
Ireland simply not good enough in the end. Poor bench showing and second half overall. We had the win in our grasp despite everything.
The really annoying thing about this game is they were there for the taking, despite all the bs. Ireland simply not good enough to take the opportunity.
