In furthering my aim to be useful to my cousin, I made roasted chicken thighs with cannellini beans and grape tomatoes for dinner, and collected all the garbage/recycling and put it on the curb for tomorrow’s collection day. Just trying to make things that little bit easier in the midst of grief.

In my quest to be useful I am cooking up random bits from the fridge/cupboards, my weekly vegetable box, and groceries purchased in the last couple of days, trying to turn them into meals. This evening: mini sweet peppers stuffed with a mixture of ground pork, rice, tomato sauce and cheese. 🍽️🍜

Two weeks ago I sat in the sun room of my aunt’s house listening to my dad and his sisters talk and reminisce. I knew it could be the last time they were all together, and it was. Grateful to have been there, and missing my aunt something terrible this morning.
