Keza and I wrote about Vince Zampella. I suspect I have spent more time in his games than anyone else’s - I’m sure I’m not alone

Call of Duty’s Vince Zampella was a video games visionary
Zampella created the template for multiplayer shooters that is still used today, and his cinematic and epic military, sci-fi and Star Wars games thrilled and moved millions

Ostensibly left wing people body shaming people they don’t like is something I see far too much on this app. Stop equating beauty with virtue, that’s extremely regressive and problematic for a number of reasons. Stop using stuff from the playbook of bigots.

Went to the Kirby museum pop up in downtown Manhattan yesterday (definitely go if you’re able to!!!) and saw Street Code for the first time. Extremely striking at how much of it is a war comic.

Fantastic exhibit!

My nephew: Are you a girl or a boy?
Me: a boy, I used to look more like a girl but then I turned into a boy
Nephew: How???
Me: I went to the doctor and they gave me some medicine
Nephew: …
Nephew, bragging now: I’M a boy and I didn’t even HAVE to go to the doctor

There is a decent chunk of Spider-Man fans who’s opposition to Paul and Mary Jane being with anybody other than Peter is based in sexism and a way of thinking that men own women’s bodies. It’s a testament to widespread sexism in comic book fandom.
I’m so bored

What’s your most controversial comic opinion?

I think a big issue I have with a show like The Boys is the utter contempt it has for the human form and body. It views it as a disgusting sack of meat littered with imperfections that can register disgust. It has very little affection for the body and finds the idea of affection for it abhorrent.

It’s quite frustrating the degree to which the sequels wouldn’t let go of the Millennium Falcon. There is no reason for that ship to stay around as long as it does in those films. That being said I think it’s mostly because of Abrahams and his films’ need to be as retrograde as possible.

It’s so funny to me that I wrote an article detailing how Batman’s interpersonal relationships are his biggest strength in the absolute universe two issues before all of that comes crashing down lmao.
I promise the article isn’t negative! I love this series and it’s a jumping off point question.
Is ‘Absolute Batman’ Playing the Hits?

What more could Snyder have to say about the caped crusader?

This is insane—a school is paying to put its students under AI surveillance, empowering a glitchy system to delete schoolwork, expose student journalists’ sources, and out queer students to their parents
Anything students at a Kansas high school write can get “Gaggled” — flagged by Gaggle Safety Management, a digital tool that uses AI to scan documents and emails for signs of unsafe behavior.

But students say it’s doing much more than that.
AI safety tool sparks student backlash after flagging art as porn, deleting emails
The tool, called Gaggle, uses artificial intelligence to search student documents for signs of unsafe behavior, such as substance abuse or threats of violence.

King in Black would be too excessive if it wasn't the culmination of 40+ issues of one of the best Marvel runs of the decade. It's breaking all the toys but in a way that feels earned.
