Read the whole thread. This will absolutely be underreported. It would be smart to have masks, sanitizer, and proper cleaning materials on hand. And maybe start to mask up again if you will be indoors with a crowd for an extended period of time.

The US govt spends a ton on contractors (including NGOs) to do stuff. Anything deemed not inherently governmental *by law* is legally required to be outsourced (see Circular A-76). This is how we have structured out govt forever!

Read the thread. And no more news from LA Times. It will be SO important in these times to double and triple check sources and make sure the media you are consuming is not manipulated or edited to mislead you in any way.
My first and definitely last time working with the Los Angeles Times. Editing out the most urgent point of an OpEd in the minutes before sending to press while then also assigning a title and image that suggest an argument entirely opposite to the author’s clear intent is pretty shitty.
