We really need to do a better job of warning teenagers and young people that being an adult is just a series of unexpected expenses hitting your bank account every time you think you might be able to build some breathing room. Financial literacy should be a mandatory class in high school.

I'm grateful for every story I see of Trump voters who left MAGA. But goddamn, I'm so angry at people who refuse to care about the horrific things happening until it suddenly impacts them directly. It shouldn't have to happen to you for you to care about it happening to other people. Do better.

I would absolutely rather run into a black bear in the woods than a feral hog. There are ways to scare a black bear away that (usually) work. A feral hog is chaotic neutral. You absolutely can not reasonably assume you can scare them off and that they won't charge.
