Israel's cheerleaders have opportunistically seized on a heinous antisemitic attack to silence opponents of genocide.

It starts with Palestine protests. But where will the crackdown on Britain’s democratic freedoms end? | Owen Jones
In making dissent a privilege, not a right, Labour is crafting a repressive toolkit. Imagine it in the hands of a Farage government, says Guardian columnist Owen Jones

Really promising for the future of Your Party when Zarah Sultana used their official email newsletter to carry out an exit scam. Its going to be dead on arrival isn't it?

Is this really how you protect a free and democratic society or is it how you end one?

There should really be legislation to force payment providers to process any lawful transaction without repercussions. Today its the weird stuff ok sure, but soon it could be just about anything they dislike
Paypal ramps up NSFW censorship by beginning to go after not just adult creators but also customers.
In a lot of ways, this is even more terrifying than the adult creator bans. With them, it's only me at risk, but how do I navigate a space where putting a game on Itch might put customers at risk?

Additional note, I need to disengage with tankies too given they seem completely unaware of the fact they sound like lunatics to everybody else.

I'll clarify my thoughts on Your Party outside of a pointless back and forth, in general I have a level of critical support and see it as a step in the right direction. Is it perfect? No. Is Corbyn the next Lenin? Of course not.

This is a desperate politically motivated move that's already failed in its goal to gain the Labour party the support of the anti-transgender movement; Labour are likely to loose the next election and they deserve it.
The UK Supreme Court has unanimously decided that the definition of sex under the Equality Act 2010 refers solely to biological sex, and does not include people with a Gender Recognition Certificate.

A recent Chapo ep has Tim Faust, who’s in Wisconsin talking to small groups (mainly seniors) scared about healthcare. He’s collecting stories of hardship, teaching them how the for-profit system works and offering advice/services/how to organize. If you don’t get that, you’re the cynical monster.

Until now, neoliberalisation in Britain was driven forward by Tory govs & stabilised by Labour govs. This seems to be changing under Starmer. It appears he's on the offensive against workers, much like the (red-green) Schröder gov in Germany from 1998 to 2005.

Heads up NHS England is an oversight body created in 2013, it is not the NHS. There are actually legitimate reasons to want to abolish it and its not in itself an attack on the NHS.

Can we stop with the faux outrage and fearmongering over the assisted dying bill? If you have concerns sure that's fair enough, but if you're going around compairing terminally ill people who want to choose how they die to Nazis and claiming this is a eugenics program then please just go away.
