I keep seeing people saying “Trump” and “MAGA”.

These people have another name.
Republicans.
It is the entirety of the Republican Party.
From the president to the Senate to State Houses to the average republican voter.

Your republican co-workers and family are all a part of this.

Sobbing as I think about all the fluffy gay sheep on their little gay farm and imagining they shave the wool into wolf cuts.
One out of 12 rams is uninterested in females. Deemed “non-procreative" by farmers, they're typically sent to slaughter. German farmer Michael Stücke rescues the gay rams. His company Rainbow Wool, sells fabulous wool products from his flock of gay sheep. rainbow-wool.com

Our fighting looks different than it does in other countries because not all fascist regimes work the same and not all countries work the same way. We are not okay, and we are desperately trying to fix things, but our opponents are powerful and very okay with mass murdering us.

If you are not American and think Americans aren't fighting back against *gestures at everything around me*, you need to listen to more Americans who aren't politicians or media people. The official story being told about us is propaganda. The majority of us hate this regime and are fighting it.

Drug-testing labs typically report results in black and white: positive or negative.

But a little-known fact about the industry is that those results are often based on standards that are wholly discretionary.

There are two Barnes & Nobles in my city, and both have been scrubbed of any nonfiction books on queer and trans people. Not sure how the fiction section is doing yet. These are dire times. It's not unrealistic to worry about a return to the Hays Code.

The culture here is very much "car=freedom" so any attempt to place even a tiny restriction on cars is framed as an attack on freedom. Or even any attempt to make things friendlier for people who don't own cars. Bike lanes are treated like a foreign invasion that must be quelled.

I keep saying that AI is deeply intertwined with rape culture. It's perpetuated by the kind of people who see the word "no" as a challenge to be overcome. It steals other people's creations and says "your body of work, my choice." Noncon is a feature, not a bug here.
"And I never say no"

We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.

We need AI regulations across so many sectors, but this area is particularly horrifying.

Brian Goldstone. Author of THERE IS NO PLACE FOR US. A book that deals with homeless was lead by the Goddess Of Irony into this situation.
A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.

When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

This is outrageous.
