Hi, I'm Allison O'Toole, I edit comics! I've done work in the small press and direct market comics spaces. I love to work with creators to make their comics the best they can be, and I love stories in any setting that focus on character & empathy.

have been desperately looking for this old erotic Spanish comic I stumbled on almost 10 years ago called "El secreto de Frankenstein" and I'm so happy to report I finally found it
black & white comic panel depicting a sexy, thicc Frankenstein's monster disrobing in 3 different poses - pulling his shirt of his shoulder, seen at an angle; from the front, shirtless, beginning to take his pants off; then almost totally nude as seen from behind. the words at the top read "Strip-tease de Frankenstein..."

I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work. France has Earth’s highest reading rate b/c long lunch breaks & labor protections

Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I'll understand, I don't and I won't. If you're just trying to troll me, I've seen way worse, i'll restrict and move on. But please, if you've got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It's dumb, it's a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it's NOT what he'd want.
To watch the legacies of real people be condensed down to 'this vaguely looks and sounds like them so that's enough,
, just so
other people can churn out horrible TikTok slop puppeteering them is maddening. You're not making art, you're making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else's throat hoping they'll give you a little thumbs up and like it.
Gross. And for the love of EVERYTHING, stop calling it 'the future. Al is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be reconsumed. You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.

A codified 4-day work week.
We simply want to protect the way we've been working for over 3.5 years. The 4dww has proven benefits, such as increased productivity and improved employee satisfaction. It's part of what makes Kickstarter a special, innovative place to work.
Fair pay for our lowest-paid workers.
We're fighting for livable minimum salaries for roles that are undervalued by the market but crucial to keeping Kickstarter running. We believe none of our workers should struggle to make ends meet. Creators

Albo is a steed full of stories, but when he mysteriously vanishes, three kids with big imaginations and little patience for unruly uncles team up, determined to find him.
Illustration of three children running across a hill, shouting "Albo!" which is also the title of the comic. Image of a goat on a hill. This is a story that three children are telling each other. An uncle is yelling at children trying to find their horse. The yelling uncle from the previous page is weaving a story about his childhood.

o you've seen The Shape of Water... A beginner's guide to monster kissing movies, by Allison O'Toole. There's a screenshot from the movie of a lady looking lovingly at a fish man in a tube A screenshot shows a beautiful woman in a tiara looking into a mirror next to a hairy Beast in a lavish, fairytale outfit. Beneath the image, text reads:
This is not to criticize Jean Marais’s committed, animalistic performance, however; I just want to point out that he’s probably the gentlest simp in this whole zine. Belle notices this, too, even before she’s realized she loves him: “he’s more cruel to himself than he is to human beings.” He wants to hunt down deer and laps up water with his tongue, but she can see past his teeth and claws to the gentle man inside. And when that man makes his appearance at the end, he remarks that (like many of us) Belle seems to miss The Beast.

2. The Snow Woman (Tanaka, 1968)

The Snow Woman is a gorgeous adaptation of a classic Japanese ghost story that was also featured in Kwaidan. The tale tells of a man whose life is spared by a yuki-onna (literally snow woman, a kind of spirit) on the condition that he never mentions her to anyone else. When a beautiful woman named Yuki shows up in town, he marries her and they have a son together. But anyone who knows folktales knows this can’t have a happy ending. This film is an expanded version of the story, with more time to explore Yuki’s humanity and the barriers to her having the normal family life she desires. She heals the sick, supports her artisan husband...
