Help me rent a safe shelter.
The wind howls like a hungry beast, tearing our tent apart. Rain pounds relentlessly, seeping through every crack, freezing us to the bone. Water rises around us, swallowing our feet, our knees… our hope.

Opposition parties all tripping over their hate boners to prove who's the fashiest to the right who will never vote for them, disgusting, craven, stupid. Self destruction over moving left, always.
Just wilful performative cruelty that is entirely out of step with the majority of British people.

How many Labour MPs got into politics in order to vote for stealing jewellery off of people seeking refuge from war and persecution?

In less than 2 weeks, this has already filled more than 500 of 1000 slots, which is fantastic (the faster enrollment’s complete, the sooner results read out).

If you have any offline friends w/Long Covid, please do share so they hear about it! It’s a 50% chance to try an expensive med for free.
Just heard about this huge (49 state) long covid trial using tirzepetide (aka zepbound) one of the newer glp meds. It’s run by researchers at scripps, funded by the eric & wendy schmidt foundation. It looks like it is still enrolling, fully remote participation:

I worked hard, with love, 52hr+ weekly, most lunches working, for 3 years. I was 20-30% underpaid vs market (“the culture” makes up for this?), got burnout with panic attacks, and when faced with exiting was told I’d be replaced in a few weeks and would not leave an impact. You come first, not them.
happy sunday, remember that you are completely expendable to your employer and that when you die they will forget you ever existed within weeks and easily replace you

these old cases involve many who sought visas based on a special status: for juveniles abandoned or abused or for crime victims. others had their cases paused because a judge decided they weren’t an enforcement priority, often because the immigrant had no criminal record.
Hundreds of S.F. immigration cases were paused for decades. Trump tried to revive them.
The Department of Homeland Security tried reviving some 2,000 deportation cases in San Francisco that had been closed for years, even decades.
