A former Palantir exec just published an extortion letter in the Washington Post: Democrats must fund tech oligarchs, abandon antitrust, and create 15 deregulated corporate zones—or “lose.”

When I challenged her, she blocked me.

When you call yourself the leaders of a democratic country, but have to hide on a military base from the people that you rule.
"Stephen Miller soon joined a growing list of senior Trump-administration political appointees—at least six by our count—living in Washington-area military housing, where they are shielded not just from potential violence but also from protest." Others include Marco Rubio, Kristi Noem, Pete Hegseth.

I’d like to think this is happening because upholding core human values matters for most people — and Trump is the antithesis of that.

Holy crap batman, a third of US GDP growth since 2000 can be attributed to recovering from climate disasters.

The long game on disaster capitalism is a complete and utter dead end.

Time to be looking in the mirror and taking steps, much more deliberately, to do better as and for humanity.
A good example of the "broken windows fallacy." A rising GDP driven (in part) by disaster recovery spending does not mean we are better off.

Trump has had such a good life in this country. It's been overwhelmingly beneficial to him. He is far wealthier than most.

Yet he oozes w/contempt for the US & its democratic traditions.

My honest, non-trolling advice to DJT is that you'd be a much happier person if you showed a little gratitude.
The Vice President of the United States used his social media page to tell Joy Reid, a private citizen with no connection to the government, that she should express "gratitude" for how this country has treated her.

Black women remain the most consistent targets in all of this.

You have to hand it to the generals. Unlike so many other people in this country, they know how to conduct themselves in public. They know they are supposed to be apolitical. So they greeted Trump's political speech with silence. And you could have heard a medal drop when Pete Hegseth finished.
