I barely know enough to parse what you just said which I think is a big part of the problem? No transparency = immediate gossip frenzy and higher emotions. I mean sometimes you find stuff out and it’s even worse to your point! But we shouldn’t have to be red threading this stuff.

So beautiful and looks like it’s been given a glow up recently! A lot of the most beautiful tile work is in shabby buildings that no one bothered to knock down bc the neighborhood wasn’t profitable enough.

And I also am baffled as to why the bodily autonomy thing is not obvious to others, even tho I also feel like I know where the initial transphobia came from (as opposed to the later astroturfed kind). I have been yelling about both for years now.

I did at one point attempt to write a book/collect a series of interviews about the 1980s feminist culture wars over sex and pornography and very much feel like we’re still living in the long tail of that split so maybe that’s helpful? (I’m just trying to figure out if I can produce what you need.)
