One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind.
An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one."
The other said, "Take him anyway."

A few years ago I found out that my great grandma lost a son to the flu and literally nobody in my family knew about this, not even the folks from my parents generation.
i don't think most people today have any real idea what things like child mortality pre-vaccines really meant.
i have friends who have lost two children. they have been permanently altered by that experience.
that was basically everyone until 100 years ago.

This is how I feel.
I have my differences with Cory Booker. His support for charter schools is unacceptable and his support for Israel is unforgivable.
But he is doing more right now than literally every other Senate Democrat, and though the bar is in hell, grinding Senate business to a halt is legitimately good.
