Gear up. It’s time to brawl.

🧵Mark Zuckerberg’s cravenly cynical decision to get rid of fact checking on Facebook, Instagram and Threads is reminiscent of the opening scene of The Godfather, where various local businessmen come to show their fealty to the mafia boss. 1/15

The Daily Mail has never been pro-British- it has always been pro-fascist.

The Daily Mail is owned by the 4th Viscount Rothermere, passed on from 3rd, 2nd & 1st Viscounts. It’s been a tool of hereditary power & privilege undermining our democracy.

Musk & Trump excite them to take their mask off.

Here is the key section of that train wreck of an interview by Robert Jenrick on #r4today.

Robinson: Did you raise it when you were Home Office minister?

Jenrick: We talked about it... I wasn't... My portfolio... But we talked about it.

Only a minute, if you can bear it. ~AA

Ann Telnaes, truly a remarkable woman! One sketch speaks volumes.
Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

As I reflect on this snowy Xmas-eve day on possible wonders to come, I think sending humans to Mars in the next decade (which is unlikely) is perhaps the least important and least useful scientific and technological achievement we might hope for. I hope we can do better.
