It was amazing to join with so many Calgarians to show our support for public education yesterday. My grandparents were both teachers who together devoted more than eight decades to their students and Calgary.

Growing up as a kid in Dover and Forest Lawn, having the chance to run for mayor was an immense honour. I love Calgary and I believe in what we can do together—because Calgarians have believed in me and given me the chance to run again.

In Calgary, every vote matters. I spoke with the Herald about why we must act now to safeguard voting access. Even small delays with mail-in ballots or voter cards can become big obstacles to voting. Let’s make participation easier, not harder.
