Please share & give to help Duaa and Mahmoud's family, including their little son Adam, survive & escape Israel's genocidal famine & escalating assault on Gaza. Donations have been very slow. They're starving & in desperate need:

A CNF of mine in Five Minutes Lit, if you've got ... Five minutes to spare!

Thanks @fiveminutelit.bsky.social for the boost of this one. A special one. Still makes me draw breath wherever I'm at Tesco.

I bought a really bizarre and grammatically-incorrect slogan t-shirt from Vinted for £2 (originally bought it for a party tonight but my body is being too crappy for me to go, which is also why I failed to order it early enough) and I'm so hype for it to arrive. Yes I will post a picture

Went into @kathyfish.bsky.social's constraints-centred 'Freedom in Limits' flash workshop feeling nervous, and have come out of it feeling empowered to approach my writing in new ways knowing that fresh insights can appear 🙌 Thanks Kathy!

Yesterday my wife and I made fat balls for wild birds out of peanut butter, oats, and various seeds to celebrate Imbolc. I had a little taste of the mixture and weirdly quite enjoyed it (especially the crunch of the hemp seeds)...

love this beautiful, inspired poem today from Katy Luxem!!

"For me, it is not the poem, exactly,
but the knowledge that I can
make it. I have it in me, somewhere
to say, oh, this world right here
is beautiful. There is nothing between
me and it."

THIRD PLACE in the Welkin Mini 2025. "They won’t let you in" by @noranadj.bsky.social. Congratulations, Nora. A story that shifts between specific, universal, real and fairytale with so much skill; so many emotions bubbling away underneath:

Had an imprompt walk after my appointment today, got a coffee and sat on a big rock watching the sea. Then a friend who also happened to be taking a walk found me and we chatted for an hour or so. Isn't life lovely sometimes?

Update: things did in fact go wrong 😂 but I did get there on time, albeit out of breath!
Having to go somewhere new for an appointment today, which is a little bit terrifying as someone who gets lost easily/struggles with directions. Here's hoping I make it ok! 🤞🏻

Writing is fun except that it's hard and no one cares and if you're good at this, you'll torturously be the last one to know
