I am saying once again that the Conservative attack on the Arts is because they are incredibly envious of artists who they perceive as a group that has “too much” cultural power, a type of influence Conservatives crave but will never have because they’re anti-intellectuals with no imagination.

The elimination of USAID is a moral atrocity and all involved made a choice to enable, and then lie about, ending the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the world.

MAE SOT, Thailand (AP) - Mohammed Taher clutched the lifeless body of his 2-year-old son and wept. Ever since his family's food rations stopped arriving at their internment camp in Myanmar in April, the father had watched helplessly as his once-vibrant baby boy weakened, suffering from diarrhea and begging for food.
On May 21, exactly two weeks after Taher's little boy died, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat before Congress and declared: "No one has died" because of his government's decision to gut its foreign aid program. Rubio also insisted: "No children are dying on my watch."
That, Taher says, "is a lie."

Valuing "getting along" more than, say, human rights just legitimizes the side that does not believe in those rights. The learned helplessness of Klein and his ilk comes from a moral center that lacks understanding and clarity about basic human rights.

I'd also say that "we are going to have to live with each other" is a common sentiment in elite spaces, or at least as part of my experience at Harvard. The shared status is more important than any other difference.

Not knowing what makes biphobia is a type of biphobia, an erasure of discrimination that bisexual people face. Knowing what is biphobia and having the ability to recognize it is part of not being biphobic.

First, I do not have high expectations at student papers. However, I do expect in this year of 2025 an understanding of biphobic stereotypes. The op-ed was mostly a list of biphobic tropes played straight, and frankly, it's astounding that the author and editorial board both lacked that knowledge.

Berkeley has a problem.
No, not one of housing. Consider something more serious than that, more detrimental to us as a society — well, primarily detrimental to women and gay men. So, once again, somehow, straight men are not impacted. But that's besides the point, and allies and susceptible identities alike must avoid the threat at hand: the bisexual man epidemic, aka, the (bi)rus.
Bisexual men may experience the following symptoms for life, or until the age of 30 when they finally decide to marry a woman: heightened appetite (aka greed/gluttony), nicotine addiction, enhanced sexual performance, pretentiousness, desire for body piercings, performative reading and a heightened ego.

If you have been in contact with a bisexual man in the past, you may have the following symptoms: amplified shame and agony, depression and, in severe cases, even death. You may not see it, but male bisexuality has spread in a pattern never seen before.

You may be asking yourself, "Is this twink sex columnist a f--ing misandrist? What about bisexual women?" And to that I say, haven't bisexual women been through enough?
Bisexual women are the oil-rig workers of the
LGBTQ+ community. Okay, maybe that's not the best description of them, but bisexual women endure a lot. Why choose to reside in heteronormativity with an obnoxious man when they could get with a stunningly attractive woman? That's a privilege only bisexual women can claim, one I hope they sleep well knowing as they climb into bed with their shaggy-haired, nicotine addicted, deadbeat boyfriends.

Bisexual men are wolves in sheep's clothing, presented to us as a stylishly niche statue of a man only ever witnessed in a consistent dreamlike sequence you endure once a month.
Lured in by the aroma of menthol cigarettes, designer cologne and overpriced thrift stores, bisexual men allure you with their steel glance.
And with an unassuming toothy grin, they set down their Dostoevsky novel or pitch-black mug of coffee in an act of giving you quote, unquote undivided attention. This is all the ploy, an act they used only five minutes ago on some other septum-adorned twink on Sproul Plaza. If you allow these predatory tactics to work, you will be in a permanent purgatory - a form of Stockholm syndrome no therapist could eliminate from your brain, the same brain that he has permanently damaged.
