As a child in the 60's I remember when my parents discussed that cheap and inferior goods were no longer going to be allowed in England from China. What that meant to me, was I was not going to go up in flames in my nightdress by standing too close to the fire.

In a queue in Sainsburys, women behind me, impatient with waiting, says "I blame Rachel in accounts" I give a grim smile. Then "Its the national insurance increase" I turn, and give her my thoughts and how much profit Sainsburys make's.

Why spend the next four years trying to be reasonable, could that not just cause more damage? There are no negotiations, only acquisitions. Russia are clear they are not negotiating, will not compromise. US support that.
