1/2 I don't believe most Americans have come to this realization. By the time people wake up and realize we're living in a whole new world—one that is rapidly evolving every day—our adversaries will be way ahead of the game. It may be too late to mount a proper response.

The reality is that the kind of political economic dynamics or military fiascos that would collapse the GOP's position are likely to be so massive in scale and scope that how Democratic politicians talk will be irrelevant to how voters respond to that moment of crisis
Josh has gotten a lot right lately, but not this.
1) It's not helpful for leading elected Democrats to keep bashing other Democrats about their language.
2) The bashing is usually "Talk like I do." Which is fine and a good rule to let all of us talk like we do.
