As my granny used to say...."Bless her heart. She's a slow learner".
This isn’t MTG having some great moral revelation, just her dealing with the realisation Trump isn't aligned with the beliefs she's assigned to him.
"Greene sat by herself in the House chamber. Melanie Stansbury, the ranking Democratic member of Greene’s DOGE subcommittee, took notice. ... 'I think it was very brave for her to stand up to the president and to stand with the victims. ...

They need to sit Noem in front of a screen, show her this video and force her to explain how this can happen in a free country.
George Retes is an American citizen and veteran who was unjustly pepper-sprayed, arrested, and imprisoned for three days by ICE.

Yet he won't be intimidated by this lawless administration. He's speaking up and telling his story as part of a new $250k @ofthebraveusa.bsky.social campaign. 👇

Matthew 19:24. Where is the outrage in American churches? Silly me, they are too busy freaking out over gay cartoon characters and children's books to even notice.
Hundreds of thousands of people, dead because of a decision made by the world's richest man
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

Slimy disingenuous....😛
“The list of things Johnson pretends he doesn’t know about is endless, ranging from a viral video of an ICE thug shooting a pastor point blank in the face with a pepper ball round in Chicago …”

The shutdown is exposing the speaker's slimy disingenuousness.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

“It always struck me as a strange thing,” the person said. “There’s compassion, but it only extends to certain people.”
A career official answered: Less humanitarian aid would mean more people would die.

He spews poison and accepts no personal responsibility for the consequences of his words. He's a horrible human being.
He called the CDC a cesspool of corruption that lied about the COVID vaccines. Now someone has committed violence because of the same misinformation.

Respiratory viral infections awaken metastatic breast cancer cells in lungs - Nature
Mouse models show that respiratory infections from viruses such as influenza and SARS-CoV-2 can trigger metastasis of dormant breast cancer cells in the lungs, a finding supported by epidemiological data from two large human cohorts.

Remember when Trump stopped the immigration reform bill? A serious, bipartisan bill that addressed the issues in a thoughtful, legal manner. Too many voters shrugged their shoulders and voted for the clown show. It is my hope that yesterday will go down in history as a turning point.

Reducing/dissolving FEMA was explicitly outlined in Project 2025. The only plan is to push natural disaster response and expenses to the state levels.
The head of FEMA joked about not knowing hurricane season had started. Americans work too damn hard and pay too much to be governed by clowns. When lives are at stake, we need serious leadership, not punchlines.
