I'm attempting to tile our backsplash today. I have zero experience with tiling. Welcome to Jackass.

I like Trin a lot, but a partnership with Home Depot when they're participating in the kidnapping of our friends and neighbors just doesn't sit right.

My maybe-not-fully-thought-through opinion is there shouldn't be "mixed status" families in this way. There are just too many stories of adopted kids getting treated like absolute shit in comparison to the biological kids. And I don't really care which comes first.
Parents who adopt children have a responsibility to support them just as fully as they would a biological child. et not every adoptee experiences that kind of equal treatment in their home. When support is unevenly distributed, the consequences can cut deeply. 🥚
Adopted Teen Wonders If He’s Not His Parents' 'Real Child’ After Learning Only His Sister Has a College Fund
The teen turned to Reddit after asking why his adoptive parents created a college fund for his younger sister but not for him — and was told the answer was “none of his business."

The way that women's sports leagues patronize their fans should really be studied.
A league spokesperson sent a statement: “Our goal is to ensure that the very best players in the world, including Trinity, continue to call this league home. We will do everything we can, utilizing every lever available within our rules to keep Trinity Rodman here."

According to sources, the NWSL Players Association has filed a grievance on Rodman’s behalf with the league.

Private utilities shouldn't be allowed. I will die on this hill.

Anyone do or know someone who does unlicensed HP plushies? Our teen wants one for Christmas, but we don't give JK our money so are looking for other options. He's asked for a Buckbeak, Niffler, or dragon.

How long until Horan realizes she's coming off the bench at best in 2027 and lets Girma take the armband?

CAPTAIN CAT 😭😭😭

So, looks like it was a good move to snag a Cat jersey today? 🤩

Recently learned that TomboyX donates a bunch of stuff to our state's organization for foster children. Always nice to learn good things about places I spend my money instead of reasons I need to stop buying somewhere.

Also, let's be so for real. Millennials got the rep for participation trophies BECAUSE OUR GEN X PARENTS WANTED THEM. You think we were stealing those from the store? No, our parents were yelling at Little League officials and teachers and whoever else so they could feel like their kid was special.

I had literal nightmares about this scenario when I was a grad student at my land grant state school. And there wasn't an ounce of training for it.

Feeling somewhat insulated from this risk is definitely one reason I love my job. They (TPUSA) don't give a shit about my poor, brown students🤪.
Look, there is no way to avoid TPUSA. You can give trolls a C-, B, B+. It won't matter. They can even get an A overall but if you give the feedback the very constructive OU instructor did, you're on the list. The assignment could be 2% of the grade (it might be in that class!). There is no defense.

This is why syllabi are so long. Every seemingly-weird statement is from something that has actually happened and is now a CYA.

Kobo has made The Body Keeps the Score a featured deal today and so I would just like to say that What My Bones Know is wonderful and not written by a creep, so I'd suggest picking that up when you can instead.

This is our plan. Relatively easy decision, honestly.
This is so true. Bring back computer rooms!

Yum. Nothing beats a sweet crisp WA apple, unless it's a hot juicy apple pie. Let's give a shout out to "Casimiro" and his co-workers who are harvesting apples in Sunnyside WA. #WeFeedYou

This is a huge question I have in my parenting also😭
wheres the line in not passing on your financial trauma and still teaching your kids to be respectful of what things cost, or not take them for granted?

Since I still don't feel comfortable traveling outside of the country rn (or, moreso, trying to get back in🤪), I'm going to try to get to some US destinations in the next few years.

Here's an almost-accurate travel map (missing Denver and ATL). Where should I go next? Thinking Alaska, but open!

I know this instructor was terrified and knew what they were being set up for. And they still gave kind feedback, despite it not being deserved. I want to give them a reassuring hug😭
idk not to mention how very nuanced and normal the actual response here was

I love whenever articles like this are all “SEE THE UNREASONABLE ANGRY DEMANDS OF THIS SJW TEACHER” and the teacher’s comment are always “please actually cite sources and try not to call your classmates demonic”

Now seems as good a time as any to do a chronological MCU re-watch. Will it take me until summer to finish, maybe.

For those of you with littles, highly recommend watching the Molly of Denali episode titled "Truth, Trust, and Harvest" sometime this weekend. It's on YouTube.
