I made a lil game inspired by the Wordle universe. It's called Versedle (pronounced Verse-a-dle). You guess who wrote famous lines of literature.

As my parents can attest, it's hard! I made them an Easy Mode, but it's still kinda hard. Maybe you'll like it!

So who's teaching about the "romantasy" boom? Do you all have favorite scholarly articles or books for understanding/contextualizing this trend?

What a week at the summer school ‚gender, data and society’ at @dhssfau.bsky.social. I was able to gain so many insights into interesting DH projects and, above all, I met some great researchers. Looking forward to the next opportunity!

Thank you everyone for coming to the #GermanischeNationalmuseum today (despite some serious train delays and rain). I enjoyed it so much and it makes me miss working as a tour guide #dhss2025 @dhssfau.bsky.social

“The true value of #corpuslinguistics is the combination of quantitative scale & qualitative depth”
@gavinbrookes.bsky.social gave us so much to think about this morning

Today’s keynote is Gavin Brookes on "Corpus linguistics for gender and language research".

One striking example: James Bond’s masculinity is, among other things, constructed through silence (most frequent trigram in the Fleming corpus is "bond said nothing").
