arguably a little worse than “mid” but my comfort medieval movie is First Knight, a guinevere/ lancelot adaptation in which richard gere and his 90s equivalent of iphone face is hopelessly miscast as lancelot and sean connery is a silver fox king arthur. the romantic tropes!! the silly costumes!!
