I've got a new one coming out in a few months and like all creators I feel the weight of the times doing battle the desire to share.
But we need to know there are good things out there, too, don't we? We need to know it's not terror and despair?

When I find that perfect voice that carries you across the narrative sea it is pure joy. Couple that with the unique interests, humor, and facts obtained through a lifetime of curiosity and it is even better!

I feel that. I have had editors apologize to me for bringing something up and I'm just so grateful. I would much rather mistakes be spotted and corrected even if they are one which require rewrites.

I think this just points out the truth of why we need copy editors.
It's almost impossible to edit your own work. Despite our most diligent efforts, we read our intentions instead of the words on the page.
