Also, when your political strength is built on the idea that no one is allowed to say no to you, being successfully told "no" is potentially very, very bad
Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

Vance and Trump Jr., reinforcing weeks of death threats against independent-minded Indiana Republicans, are pressuring them to help rig next year’s midterms.
The Trump regime is a Mafia-style criminal enterprise.
It’s all hands on deck today for the MAGA mob threats and intimidation.

Significant statement from Jeffries and House Democratic leaders saying they will vote “present” on the motion to table Al Green’s resolution to impeach President Trump. They say they’re “laser-focused on fighting to lower the high cost of living” plus on health care and corruption.

I can't emphasize enough that the public sees Trump as a regular partisan president rather than a threat to the Republic because Democrats consistently act like he's a regular president and not a threat to the Republic.

I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt and figured she had the annualized m/m figure in front of her. But no, that's +3.8%. Or maybe she was looking at core CPI? No, that's also +3.0% y/y. So no, not +2.5%, by any common measure I can find.
Q: You acknowledged that CPI in January was 3%. In September, the last month we have data, it was also 3%

LEAVITT: It's 2.5%

Q: Not in September. It was 3%

LEAVITT: I have it in front of me

Obviously a system where the leader forces the rest of the country to elect his own party is not in any real sense democratic.

But US elites are terrified of acknowledging the enormity of what's occurring in America. So instead, bizarrely, many pretend not to see what's happening at all.
One of the most blatantly authoritarian threats in a Trump term full of them

You can't feel bad for Trump, but this chart is INSANE AND INCOMPREHENSIBLE and should be a giant flashing red alarm that the systems feeding into our media and cultural environment have flown off some kind of cliff.
State of the Economy:

Poor: 39%
Fair: 34%
Good: 20%
Excellent: 3%

If you’re a rich scumbag who made millions on shady overseas deals, Trump will eagerly sell you a place in America.
An insane political move. One of the recurring complaints about immigration in the U.S. is that those seeking asylum jump the line. This is line-jumping — but for rich people, not those in need.

Now he repeats it in front of cheering rally crowd, nobody blinks, it’s not even reported in the news.
